Who is Barry McCabe?
One day, by accident, I found the official Barry Mc Cabe website on the Internet.
I discovered that Barry had dedicated a song
to Rory called "The Emigrant"
(I'm a Rory fan - have been for over 25 years!!) ...
I was wondering what kind of music it could be and so I decided to order the CD
"The peace within".
I thought the music will probably be "not bad".
A few days later I got the CD and put it in my CD-player ...
WHAT I HEARD WAS SO TOUCHING -
A MIX OF BLUES, ROCK & CELTIC MUSIC.
IT BLEW ME AWAY - IT WAS SO GREAT!!!
It opened the door to a new musical world, a mixture of slow ballads, stompin' rock, blues at it's best, fantastic Uilleann pipe playing (by Davy Spillane) and last but not least...an unusual celtic touch, played from the heart by some great musicians.
So I decided to create "The first - Barry Mc Cabe - Fanpage".
I hope it helps in attracting more people to discover this great style of music.
I hope you will also get the same "kick" I always get when I listen to it.

By the way, I understand that Barry actually knew Rory personally. Perhaps that's why he was able to write such an emotional piece of music - "The Emigrant" - and dedicate it to him!!
